These Terms explain how service requests, estimates, installation, payments, workmanship support, and messaging are handled. If a signed quote, invoice, or service agreement includes more specific terms, those terms control for that job.

1. Who we are

Baby Proofing Crew is the public brand for Baby Proofing Crew and Toddlers LLC, a family-run home safety service serving Palm Beach County, Florida. These Terms apply when you visit our website, request a walkthrough, approve an estimate, purchase products through us, receive installation services, or communicate with us by email, phone, text message, website form, Jobber, or another service platform.

Our services are designed to help reduce common risks for babies, toddlers, and pets. No assessment, product, installation, recommendation, or safety device can eliminate every risk or replace active adult supervision.

2. Website use and intellectual property

The text, photographs, graphics, brand marks, service names, page layouts, and other materials on this website belong to Baby Proofing Crew or are licensed for our use. You may view and share links to this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, republish, sell, or use our website content or branding without written permission.

Information on this website is provided for general education and booking purposes. It is not a home inspection, building-code opinion, medical advice, legal advice, or a guarantee that a home is safe.

3. Booking requests and scheduling

Submitting a booking request, form, message, or inquiry does not create a confirmed appointment or service agreement. A visit is confirmed only after Baby Proofing Crew accepts the request and sends a confirmation by email, text message, phone, Jobber, or another approved communication channel.

Appointments are offered by availability and service area. We may decline, reschedule, or cancel a request if the property is outside our service area, the conditions are unsafe, required information is missing, access is unavailable, or the requested work is outside our scope.

4. Estimates, scope, and changes

Walkthrough notes, recommendations, estimates, and quotes are based on the information available at the time they are prepared. Product needs, labor time, concealed conditions, building materials, client preferences, or site conditions may change the final scope and price.

Work begins only after the client approves the applicable estimate, quote, invoice, or written service plan. Any work outside the approved scope, including added rooms, added products, repair work, reinstallation, troubleshooting, or return visits caused by changed conditions, may require additional charges.

5. Pricing, payment, and invoices

Professional installation is currently billed at $99.95 per hour unless a different rate is stated in an approved quote or invoice. Products, supplies, travel, disposal, special-order items, rush requests, and third-party fees may be billed separately when applicable.

Payment terms are stated on the estimate, invoice, or service agreement. Unless different terms are provided in writing, payment is due when invoiced or when the installation is complete and signed off. Unpaid balances may result in paused service, late fees where allowed by law, collection costs, or refusal of future appointments.

6. Cancellations, rescheduling, and access

Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule. Late cancellations, missed appointments, denied access, or appointments where a responsible adult is not present may result in a cancellation fee, trip fee, or lost deposit if one was disclosed before the appointment.

The client is responsible for providing safe access to the property and work areas, securing pets, clearing reasonable workspace, moving valuables or fragile items, disclosing known hazards, and confirming that they have authority to approve the work.

7. Client responsibilities after service

The client is responsible for reading and following product instructions, supervising children and pets, checking installed safety items regularly, keeping gates and locks engaged, replacing worn parts, and contacting us promptly if something appears loose, damaged, missing, or misused.

Screens, furniture, cabinets, walls, stairs, appliances, fixtures, gates, anchors, locks, bumpers, and other products can fail or become unsafe through misuse, age, cleaning products, force, humidity, remodeling, pets, child strength, product defects, or changes made after our visit.

8. Installation, alterations, and property conditions

Installation may require drilling, adhesive, anchors, screws, brackets, tension mounts, wall cups, cabinet locks, furniture straps, or other hardware. By approving installation, the client authorizes Baby Proofing Crew to make reasonable alterations needed for the approved work.

We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, hidden wiring or plumbing, weak drywall, brittle cabinetry, warped materials, landlord or HOA restrictions, manufacturer defects, or damage caused by removing, modifying, forcing, painting over, cleaning, or misusing products after installation.

9. Products, warranties, and workmanship guarantee

Third-party products are subject to the manufacturer instructions, limitations, warnings, and warranties. Baby Proofing Crew does not manufacture those products and does not guarantee that any product will prevent injury, damage, escape, access, falls, burns, choking, poisoning, tip-over, or other harm.

Baby Proofing Crew offers a six-month workmanship guarantee on installation labor. If an installed item fails because of our installation within six months of service completion, we will return to address the installation issue at no additional labor charge. This guarantee does not cover product defects, normal wear, misuse, removal, client-supplied products, changed conditions, accidental damage, unauthorized adjustments, or work outside the approved scope.

10. Refunds and final sales

All sales are final once installation has been completed and signed off by the client. We do not provide refunds for completed labor or installed products unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

Our workmanship guarantee is intended to correct qualifying installation issues rather than issue refunds. Special-order products, custom purchases, opened products, installed products, trip fees, consultation fees, and completed labor are non-refundable unless different terms are stated in writing.

11. Insurance, limitation of liability, and risk allocation

Baby Proofing Crew maintains business insurance for its operations. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Baby Proofing Crew is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of use, emotional distress, lost income, replacement housing, or damages caused by events after service completion and client sign-off.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to a service, product recommendation, installation, communication, website use, or estimate is limited to the amount the client paid Baby Proofing Crew for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limits apply only where permitted.

12. Disputes and governing law

If a concern arises, the client agrees to contact us promptly so we can review the issue, inspect the installation if appropriate, and attempt to resolve the matter in good faith.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless otherwise required by law, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Palm Beach County, Florida.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as our services, platforms, policies, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of our website, communications, or services after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
